Ice, Excited To Do A Major Solo Concert Again & To Share His 35-Year Journey

THERE is no arguing that film and TV icon, child star wonder, certified OPM hitmaker, and now live events and TV director Ice Seguerra has grown up before our very eyes in his 35 years in show business.

That journey has led him to discover not just the ins and outs of the industry but also, and more importantly, himself.

On October 15, Seguerra will take us on a musical and visual journey of his evolution. Becoming Ice: The 35th Anniversary Concert will take place at The Theater at Solaire from 8:00 p.m. onwards. This milestone event came after a 10-year hiatus from the major concert stage when Ice celebrated his 25th year in the business.

Fire and Ice Media and Productions, Inc., his own production company with his wife, Liza Diño, will produce the show in cooperation with Nathan Studios. Seguerra will be the stage director in collaboration with musical director Ivan Lee Espinosa.

“I’m very excited to do a major solo concert again after ten years. I miss the energy, the emotions, and the presence of people who appreciates the experience of a live event.

"Becoming Ice is very personal to me because this is the first time that I'm going to do a major concert as Ice Seguerra. And happy ako, I get to share my 35-year journey in this business with my fans,” Seguerra muses.

This concert is Seguerra’s love letter to his fans and supporters, who remained loyal despite the many challenges he has encountered throughout his career. He will sing the soundtrack of our lives with phenomenal hits like “Pagdating ng Panahon" and “Anong Nangyari sa Ating Dalawa” among many others. The multi-platinum artist promises a night of reminiscence, nostalgia, and feel-good vibes.

PINOY FILMMAKER BAGS TWO INTERNATIONAL FILMFEST AWARDS FOR THE SHORT FILM 'UMBRA'

 

A Filipino neophyte film director bags major film awards in two international film festival held recenty in India.

Besting more a thousand of hopeful movie entries from all over world, Pinoy Director Jeremiah P. Palma's film "UMBRA" captured for him the most coveted BEST DIRECTOR award from these two international film festivals.

The Roshani International Film Festival is being conducted by the Film Education and Welfare Foundation, in Aurangabad, India. The festival uses media platform as a tool to connect audiences across various cities, countries, and continents.

On the said festival's third year, Director Palma, the Director-in-Charge of the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI) Film Division, joined and won the above award last 24th of July 2022 for his drama-horror film “UMBRA”.

Prior to this award, he also managed to win the BEST DIRECTOR Award from Venus International Film Festivals 2022 (July 3, 2022) also for low-budget short film with the tagline “Every story has its darkness.” 

The Latin word “umbra” translates to darkness. The film follows characters who are plagued by a demon-like creature named Incubus (played by Chesy Rivera)

Palma or Direk Miah as he is fondly called started directing in the year 2020 doing music videos and short films. His film outfit, MAYA Film together with KSMBPI Film Division (headed by the founding Chairman Dr. Michael Raymond Apacible Aragon) collaborated together for the production of the award winning movie “UMBRA”, an indie short film presented to the international film forum.
