PRIME Video and ABS-CBN Studios hosted the advance screening of The Loyalty Game on June 29 at Trinoma Cinema 6, marking the highly anticipated launch of the Filipino psychological drama. 

The event brought together the cast, creators, the media, influencers, and special guests for an exclusive first look at the series ahead of its global premiere on Prime Video.

Inspired by the viral “loyalty test” phenomenon on social media, the drama explores the devastating consequences of suspicion, and the dangerous lengths people will go to uncover the truth.

 

After the screening, the cast and creators took the stage to share their insights into the series’ creation, their experiences in bringing the characters to life, and the underlying themes of trust, deception, and power that drive the narrative.

Directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar and produced by ABS-CBN through its Star Creatives unit, The Loyalty Game follows Ana (Janine Gutierrez), who hires a loyalty tester to uncover the truth about her enigmatic husband, Ben (Jericho Rosales). What begins as a calculated arrangement quickly spirals into a dangerous psychological game of secrets, seduction, and manipulation, where loyalty becomes a matter of life and death.

SPEEd and PlayTime Entertainment Ink Deal for 'The 9th EDDYS '

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) and digital entertainment company PlayTime Entertainment have officially joined forces for the upcoming 9th Entertainment Editors' Choice. 

The prestigious annual film awards will be officially presented as The 9th EDDYS presented by PlayTime Entertainment under the newly signed agreement.

The partnership was finalized during a contract signing ceremony held at the PlayTime Entertainment last June 22. The collaboration unites the country's premier circle of entertainment editors with the digital entertainment platform to celebrate and champion the finest achievements in Philippine cinema. 

Nominees to the event that will happen on July 5 were also revealed in a livestream on SPEEd’s Facebook page last June 25, held at the Luxent Hotel.

THE Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) ushers in the second half of the year with the unveiling of the nominees for the prestigious The Entertainment Editors’ Choice, more popularly known as The Eddys.

In its 9th edition, the announcement was made on June 25 at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City, with the presentation streamed live on PlayTime Entertainment’s YouTube channel. The event served as a curtain-raiser to the grand awards night set for July 5 at the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport World Resorts, Pasay City.

This year, the finest achievements in Philippine filmmaking across 14 competitive categories will be honored, recognizing works that have elevated the local cinematic landscape through compelling storytelling, artistic vision, and technical mastery.

The event begins at 2 p.m. and will be streamed live on the PlayTime Entertainment YouTube channel, allowing movie fans and industry followers nationwide to witness the announcement of this year's contenders for the country's premier awards honoring excellence in Filipino filmmaking.

Now on its third year, OPM Con will feature SB19, Ben&Ben, Alamat, Flow G, Skusta Clee, Sunkissed Lola, G22, KAIA, and Xonara, bringing together a diverse mix of artists and genres that continue to define the Philippines’ music scene. 

Participating Puregold stores included branches in Taytay, Rizal; Biñan, Laguna; Anabu-Imus, Cavite; Valenzuela; QI Central, QC; Cubao, QC; Fairview Terraces, QC; Tayuman, Manila; Parañaque; Kalentong, Manila; Cainta, Rizal; and San Pedro, Laguna.

Among the first to secure a ticket was Beverly Jane, an A’TIN who camped out at Puregold QI Central with fellow fans the night before ticket selling’s opening day.

“Super excited na for the concert kasi pinila talaga namin ito. Nandito na kami since 7 last night,” she shared. Despite the long wait, she noted that attendees were well taken care of, with food, drinks, and a well-ventilated waiting area for those in line. 

Expressing her appreciation for Puregold’s continued support of Filipino music, Beverly said, “Thank you so much sa Puregold dahil malaking platform ito para sa OPM at sobrang supportive nito hindi lang sa SB19 kundi as buong P-pop community.”

 

The opening day of ticket sales showcased the spirit and broad appeal of Puregold’s OPM Con Generations. Fans from different generations were drawn by a lineup that resonates with a wide range of musical tastes and backgrounds. Over the years, OPM Con served as a platform that brings together artists, audiences, and fandoms in a celebration of Filipino talent and the communities built around it.

At age 62, Suzette Santiago proudly counts herself among SB19’s fans. An avid supporter of the group since 2024, she shared how fangirling over the P-pop group and attending events like OPM Con Generations continue to make her feel young. 

“Whenever I listen to their music, may message talaga, and that's what draws me to them,” she said. “It’s so nice that Puregold is doing this because it’s really encouraging to see our OPM music and industry continue to rise. Hopefully tuloy-tuloy lang because I really enjoy going to these events.”

Meanwhile, Arnel Lamber, who also came the night before to secure his place in the queue, said he was thankful for initiatives that give fans the opportunity to see their favorite artists live. On top of his regular grocery purchases, he was able to secure a ticket to OPM Con Generations and now looks forward to attending the concert.

“Thankful ako sa Puregold kasi nakaka-experience kami ng ganito. Kahit puyat, okay lang kasi masaya naman,” he said.

Puregold likewise expressed its appreciation for the enthusiastic turnout on opening day.
