SB19, Skusta Clee and Flow G get into the fiesta spirit at Puregold’s MassKaravan and Concert in Bacolod


HIP-HOP icons Skusta Clee and Flow G were joined by PPop megastars SB19 to bring the panalo spirit to Puregold’s Sari-Sari Store MassKaravan and Concert in Bacolod. 


The event was Puregold’s own attraction at the annual MassKara Festival, which draws thousands of revelers from all over the country to the city of Bacolod. Over 150,000 people came out to celebrate with Puregold and their fantastic musical guests.

Puregold’s Sari-Sari Store MassKaravan and Concert further intensified the vibrant colors and festive moods at the annual festival. Held at the Bacolod City Government Center, the concert attracted loyal Puregold members and fans of local music, who came out in droves to enjoy the intricate rhythm of Skusta and Flow G, as well as the smooth dances and harmonies of SB19. Attendees also got to enjoy performances from opening acts Project Juan and Esay.

The revelry was at an all time high as hordes of fans were over the moon, watching their favorite musicians live and up close at the Bacolod City Government Center. Loyal A’TINs such as Chariz and Katrina were likewise overwhelmed at the chance to see their favorities perform. 


Chariz happily stated that she didn’t have a personal favorite because “Lahat po idol ng anak ko!” Meanwhile, Katrina sent a special message to her bias Stell: “Good luck and good job! Hoping you grow as an individual but also as a group.”


 

Fans like Apple were also thrilled to see rap icons like Flow G. It’s clear that the rapper has left a positive impact on Apple who proudly proclaimed, “Idol! Nakaka-inspire!”



While the concert was open to the public, Puregold kept their loyal members in mind for this major musical event. VIP and VVIP tickets that offered seated views of the concert were sold at select Puregold stories in Bacolod and Iloilo on October 5. This was Puregold’s way of giving back to everyday Puregold members that wanted the very best of the concert experience.


 

Furthermore, several lucky winners also claimed VIP passes given away by Puregold’s partner brands that had booths set up at the concert venue. Even more giveaways awaited Perks and Aling Puring members, as well. The first 2,000 to register for the concert received a free loot bag containing P300 worth of groceries to take home after the concert.


 

With the lively music, giveaways and promos, revelers at Puregold’s Sari-Sari Store MassKaravan and Concert felt a real sense of Pinoy celebration. The panalo stories of the musicians, the fans, and Puregold itself came together to create a night to remember for everyone that attended.

Gllobally-acclaimed actor Jake Cuenca dominates Prime Video and Netflix


JAKE Cuenca continues to stand out in the industry as a major force to be reckoned with. 

Without relying on a regular onscreen partner to enhance his appeal, Jake has built a stellar career as one of the most dedicated and serious actors of his generation. He has consistently demonstrated his ability to play any character that comes his way, and his versatility has opened doors to two monumental projects that place him at the forefront of two major streaming platforms.


Jake, who recently signed a three-year renewal contract with his home network ABS-CBN, has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades. In 2009, Jake gained significant attention for his portrayal of David “Dave” Garcia Jr., a charismatic yet conflicted soldier in ABS-CBN’s Tayong Dalawa. This role catapulted him to stardom, with the show becoming a massive hit across Asia and Africa. Over the years, he has continued to push boundaries, taking on a diverse array of leading and supporting roles on various television projects.

In 2022, Jake made waves again on the action-packed teleserye The Iron Heart, playing Eros del Rio — the central antagonist of the show’s second season. Following this, he was featured in a key role on the critically acclaimed thriller Cattleya Killer, before reclaiming leading man status in the Viu original K-Love.


Most recently, Jake starred in the Philippine adaptation of the K-drama What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. He portrayed the enigmatic Cyrus “Morpheus” Castillo. While the show’s primary focus was romance, Jake’s character addded a layer of complexity, as Cyrus provided the series’ main conflict. Jake’s role on that show was crucial, as his character’s interactions significantly elevated the emotional stakes of the narrative.

In cinema, Jake has delivered a series of impressive performances. He has appeared in mainstream titles such as In the Name of Love, My Neighbor’s Wife, and Status: It’s Complicated, but it was his work in the indie scene that brought him international acclaim. He played a character named Jake in Mulat (Awaken) and earned two Best Actor awards for his efforts: one at the International Film Festival Manhattan in 2014 and another at the World Cinema Festival in Copacabana in 2016, establishing him as a globally recognized talent.
 

Now, Jake is poised to take center stage in the highly anticipated Prime Video series What Lies Beneath, which will also air on the Kapamilya Channel. Directed by Dado Lumibao and produced by the ABS-CBN business unit RCD Narratives, this series revolves around a murder mystery involving six women and two men, with Jake’s character expected to bring an important layer of suspense and intrigue to the story as viewers grapple with the question: Did he really do it?

As if dominating one major platform wasn’t enough, Jake’s next project brings him to Netflix with the original film The Delivery Guy, directed by Lester Pimentel. In this thrilling, high-octane film, Jake will play a ruthless mafia boss as the film follows an ordinary guy who gets caught in an extraordinarily dangerous situation.

With Jake headlining projects on two of the world’s largest streaming platforms, his in-demand status is truly undeniable. His ability to take on complex, challenging roles allows him to push the boundaries of his craft, solidifying his legacy as one of the most respected and formidable actors in the Philippines. Globe’s G-gantic Goal unlocked: 100,000 customers unite to bring food, fun to 917 underprivileged families

 

IN yet another highlight of its annual G DAY celebration, Globe recently brought together 100,000 customers to spread joy to 917 underprivileged families through G-Gantic Goals, giving them a memorable Family Day with a surprise movie treat and a grocery and food package.

 

Backed by Globe Rewards, the initiative amplified the impact of National Family Week and showcased the spirit of unity among Globe customers and partners.


 

“The Filipinos' innate bayanihan spirit has proven once again that when we come together for a shared cause, we can make a meaningful difference. Through G-gantic Goals, we have shown that even a single Rewards point can create a ripple effect for good. Globe Rewards points have become agents of positive change, helping alleviate hunger and advancing the country’s sustainable development goals,” said Jerome Patalud, Head of Globe Rewards.


 

G-gantic Goals, a new community engagement feature on the GlobeOne app, encouraged 100,000 Globe customers to use 1 Rewards point to unlock a family day for 917 families or 3,668 family members supported by the Hapag Movement, Globe’s hunger alleviation campaign.

 

Modeled after a gamified fundraising drive, G-gantic Goals displayed real-time progress of the collective effort through the GlobeOne app, motivating customers to invite others to join.  The goal was achieved five days ahead of schedule.


 

“A huge thank you to everyone, especially to the 100,000 Globe customers who participated in the G-gantic Goal. Because of you, we achieved our goal of providing a family date for 917 families nationwide supported by the Hapag Movement,” said Saj Ocampo, Manager at Globe Rewards. 

 

Culminating the first iteration of G-gantic Goals at the close of National Family Week, Globe hosted simultaneous events across the country, delivering G Day grocery packages with essential food items to beneficiary families.


 

To heighten the excitement, the families were treated to a special movie screening at Ayala Malls Cinemas, a first-time experience for many. Screenings were held in multiple Ayala Malls, including TriNoma and UP Town Center in Quezon City, Feliz in Pasig City, MarQuee in Pampanga, Ayala Center Cebu, and Abreeza Davao.

Other Hapag Movement partners whose support was invaluable in organizing the simultaneous family dates were Ayala Foundation and Scholars of Sustenance Philippines. Contributions from Ayala Malls Cinemas and Puregold Price Club, Inc. also played a vital role in making the day extra special for the families involved.

DREAM COME TRUE: SEN. BONG REVILLA, CONG. LANI MERCADO'S DAUGHTER IS NOW A LICENSED DOCTOR


POWER Couple Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. and Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla have another reason to celebrate. 

Because their daughter Loudette Bautista is now a full-fledged Doctor of Medicine, having passed the 2024 Physician Licensure Examination or Board Exams for Doctors.

The power couple couldn't get hold of themselves when they learned at midnight that Loudette was among those who made it to the list, Sen. Bong immediately shared it through his Facebook Live. 

The Power Parents are not alone in their celebratory mood, but also their friends and supporters.


Dr. Loudette finished her pre-med at the Ateneo de Manila University and Medicine at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC). 

"She has proven to herself that her dream is reachable, not only for herself but also for her family and the public she wants to serve as a doctor. 

"Congratulations to our Dra. Loudette for passing the 2024 Physician Licensure Board Exams! You're a Certified Doctor now, my dear! You bring pride, joy, and honor to the whole family! 

"Thanks for fulfilling Daddy's dream to have a doctor in the family. Thank you, God, indeed!" Sen. Bong Revilla said in his post.
